History
Białoboki was founded in the 12th century as part of the Christianization of Pomerania. It was founded ca. 1170-ca. 1180 by brothers from the abbey of Lund, with support from Gunbin, duke of Pomerania. It was abandoned by 1185, but revived in the same location in 1208 with the support of Anastasia, duchess of Pomerania.
Białoboki continued to be supported by the ducal family over the decades. In the 13th/14th centuries, it was one of the most prominent monasteries in Pomerania. Białoboki was suppressed at the Reformation.
The former monastic complex fell into disrepair through a combination of fires and being robbed out for stone, and nothing of it is visible aboveground today.
