History
A short-lived and poorly documented community. It was founded around 1212 by Premonstratensians from Brindisi on land given by the knight Nicholas I of Saint-Omer, an act confirmed by Innocent III.
Some ruins on the outskirts of the modern town of Thespiai have been tentatively suggested to be a tower/church complex associated with the Premonstratensians, on stylistic grounds.
