History
A church was first founded at Krzyżanowice in the first half of the 12th century by Jaksa of Miechów. Bolesław V the Chaste, High Duke of Poland, provided support for the expansion of the community ca. 1250. Krzyżanowice was initially a double house, but the sisters moved to Busko in 1415.
Krzyżanowice's church became a parish church dependent on Witów. It was substantially rebuilt and consecrated in the 1620s, and renovated again in the 1780s.
