History
A priory dependent on La Castelle. It was established following the 1227 gift of Guillaume II, viscount of Béarn and Gabardan, of the tithe of the late 11th/early 12th-century church at Juliac to the Premonstratensian abbey of La Castelle, and possibly also in part by one "sister Ascie" and her children.
The church was fortified during the Hundred Years' War, but was badly damaged during the Wars of Religion. It was restored during the late 17th century, but the priory was suppressed at the Revolution. The property passed into private hands. The priory's buildings, with the exception of the church, were demolished in 1923. The former priory church is now the local parish church.
