History
Pókvár was founded as a Premonstratensian priory likely around the mid-13th century by Móric II of the Pók kindred, probably around the same time that he founded nearby Mórichida. While it seems to have been well-endowed, Pókvár did not flourish, and disappears from the documentary record in the 14th century.
Nothing remains of the priory today, and an early 20th century manor house now stands on the site.
