History
The church of Saint-Laurent de Courtry was founded by Milon, lord of Melun, and his son Pierre. On stylistic grounds, the chapel was likely built in the 13th century. It was restored in the 16th century.
After the Revolution, the church was used as the town hall until 1904. Following a fire in 1910, about two-thirds of the building was demolished and only the choir now remains. It is municipal property, and underwent a major restoration in the 1980s.
