History
An abortive foundation which only existed for about a decade. The abbey was founded on land given by Ramon Berenguer IV. In 1158, the brothers handed the site over to the bishop of Tortosa. Their church, which was under construction, became the parish church of Santa María de Cabassers. This church was demolished in the 19th century, and only a wall remains.
