History
The Benedictine abbey of Saint-Hubert gave the land at Hamewiller to the Premonstratensian abbey of Justemont in 1153. It became a community of Premonstratensian sisters. They are attested there for the last time in 1224.
By the late Middle Ages, it was a parish church dependent on Prémontré. In 1582, "a small cloister" still existed on the site. By the 18th century, both cloister and church were in ruins.
