History
A community of canons was established at Justemont ca. 1120-24 by Euphémie de Watronville, sister of Ursion, bishop of Verdun. In ca. 1130, the community joined the Premonstratensian Order. Its abbey church was consecrated in 1174. The community enjoyed strong links with the lords of Florange. In 1620, it adopted the reform of the Antique Rigueur.
Justemont was badly damaged during the Thirty Years' War. Its buildings were rebuilt, but it was suppressed in 1790. Today only parts of the monastic complex remain.
