History
The priory of Abram was founded by 1235. It was under the patronage of the Gutkeled kindred. Abram was likely destroyed by Ottoman forces in the 16th century.
The surviving church on the site dates to the 13th/14th centuries, and was used as a Protestant parish church from the 17th century until the 1930s. Today it is disused.
