History
This women's community, dependent on Ursberg, was founded in the 1140s. According to tradition, the sisters left Ursberg for Burg having been accused of an act of arson.
Burg was suppressed in the 1440s. The current parish church, largely early modern in date, likely is at its core, or stands on the site of, the medieval monastery's church.
