History
The priory of Gaillonnet was dependent on the Premonstratensian abbey of Dommartin. It was in the possession of that abbey from ca. 1163, when Hugues III d'Amiens, archbishop of Rouen, issued a confirmation concerning the priory.
Following the French Revolution, the site passed into private hands. In the 19th century, the former priory was converted into a château. The site is now a golf course.
