History

Originally a chapel in the possession of the abbey of Saint-Corneille de Compiègne, Boucquy was ceded to the Premonstratensian abbey of Braine in 1147 and became a priory of the order. Boucquy was a focal point for Marian pilgrimages during times of epidemics.

The community's church was used as a barn after the Revolution. It survives today in a ruinous state.
