History

A priory of the abbey of Ardennes, given to that abbey in the early 13th century by Gauthier d'Aigneux, lord of Saint-Contest.

Athis remained a possession of Ardennes until the Revolution, after which time it was largely demolished and the site passed into private hands. There is now a farm on the property.
