History
The Premonstratensian priory of Killamanagh was likely located on the site of an early medieval monastery. It may originally have held the status of abbey.
Indulgences were granted in 1399 and 1428 for repairs for the monastic complex and church. Killamanagh appears to have been a site of pilgrimage in the Middle Ages. The priory was suppressed ca. 1542, and today only some fragmented ruins survive.
