History
The village of Sulby was abandoned by the early 15th century. It had a church, dedicated to St Botolph, which was separate from the Premonstratensian abbey church of Sulby. By the 1450s, the church was in a ruinous state.
In the 18th century, local tradition recorded that the church had once stood in a meadow known as St Botolph's Pool.
Not to be confused with St Botolph's (North Yorkshire).
