History
The Katharinenkloster of Dortmund was founded in 1193 by Emperor Henry VI as a Benedictine community. At the instigation of Frederick II, it became a Premonstratensian house 1218/1224. <br /><br />The monastery survived the Reformation but was secularised in 1803/04. The buildings housed a brewery from the 1860s. The last remains of the monastery were destroyed during World War Two and nothing is visible there today.

History
The abbey of Doue was founded in 1138 by Raymond and Guillaume de Saint-Quentin, and in 1172 Pierre de Solignac, bishop of Puy, transferred it to the Premonstratensian Order.<br /><br />Doue was badly damaged by warfare on multiple occasions in the 16th century. Conventual life was never able to properly re-establish itself at the abbey after this, and it was suppressed in the 1770s.

A parish church dependent on the Premonstratensian abbey of Blanchelande. It was given to the abbey by Eudes le Bouteiller, lord of Escalleclif and Lestre, before going on Crusade. The medieval church was demolished in 1750.

History
Dragsmark was likely founded ca. 1234 by Haakon IV Haakonson. It was initially a prosperous house, and ran a school for young nobles. <br /><br />In the 1510s, Christian II installed a secular administrator at Dragsmark on the death of the abbot Helge. In 1539, the property was leased out, and the last Premonstratensians were formally expelled in 1561. <br /><br />Some ruins of the abbey church remain. History
The church at Dreibrunnen was founded by the counts of Toggenburg, who gave the church to the Premonstratensian abbey of Rüti in 1289. It remained in the monastery's possession until the 1520s. The church was substantially rebuilt in the 1670s.

History
By tradition, Drongen Abbey had its origins in the 7th century, but there is not clear continuity between the earlier foundations and the 1138 foundation of a Premonstratensian house at the same location by Iweein, count of Aalst. <br /><br />Drongen suffered a number of attacks during warfare in the 16th century. The abbey church was rebuilt in 1638, and the community was suppressed in 1796. <br /><br />The site was used as a cotton mill for a time in the early 19th century before the monastic complex was purchased by the Jesuit Order. The abbey church now serves as a parish church.

History
Dryburgh was formally founded in 1150 with the support of Hugh de Morville, constable of Scotland, but the first brothers did not arrive on the site until late 1152. The monastic complex burned twice in the 14th century. It became a commendatory abbey in 1509. <br /><br />At the Reformation, Dryburgh Abbey was resolved and the site was given to the earl of Mar. It is the burial place of Walter Scott and Douglas Haig.

History
A community of Premonstratensian sisters was established at Dünnwald by 1143. The first sisters came from Steinfeld. The monastic complex burned down in 1583. <br /><br />In 1643, Dünnwald became a community of Premonstratensian canons, and it was secularised in 1802. The former monastic church is now a parish church, and the rest of the monastic complex is in private hands.

First a grange and later a priory, Durance was in the possession of the Premonstratensian abbey of La Castelle by the early 13th century, and remained so until the Revolution. <br /><br />The priory chapel, which has undergone conservation work in recent years, still contains some 14th-century wall paintings.

History
Durford was founded in 1161 by Henry Husey. The abbey suffered a two serious robberies and a fire in the 15th century, which contributed to its decline. It was suppressed in 1534 and the property passed into private hands. Parts of the monastic complex survive today, incorporated into later structures on the site.

History
Easby was founded as a Premonstratensian house by Roald, constable of Richmond Castle, in 1155. Its history is poorly documented. In the late 14th century, it came under the patronage of the influential Scrope family. <br /><br />Easby was suppressed in 1536, and ownership of the site passed into private hands. Its church is still in use as the parish church, and contains surviving 13th-century wall paintings.

In the mid-12th century, one William de Dive gave the church of East Haddon to the Premonstratensian abbey of Sulby. The church was substantially rebuilt in the 14th century. After the Dissolution, it became an Anglican parish church.
