History
Ardenne was originally a priory founded 1121, and joined the Premonstratensian Order in 1144. It became an abbey 1156-60. In 1230, the choir of the abbey church collapsed, killing the abbot and a number of the brothers. Ardenne was badly damaged during the Hundred Years' War, causing the brothers to seek refuge in Caen. <br /><br />Ardenne became a commendatory abbey in 1507, and adopted the reform of the Antique Rigueur in 1629. <br /><br />The abbey of Ardenne was dissolved during the French Revolution. It was the site of a massacre of Allied forces in June, 1944.

The Premonstratensian priory of Asnières was given the patronage of the local parish church of Saint-Jean by Guillaume d'Asnières, bishop of Lisieux (1285-1298). <br /><br />Both parish church and priory have been demolished and no visible ruins remain.

A priory of the abbey of Ardennes, given to that abbey in the early 13th century by Gauthier d'Aigneux, lord of Saint-Contest. <br /><br />Athis remained a possession of Ardennes until the Revolution, after which time it was largely demolished and the site passed into private hands. There is now a farm on the property.

A parish church dependent on the Premonstratensian abbey of Silly. Over the course of the 13th century, Béatrice d'Aubry, Alix de Montagu, Grégoire de Ville-Dieu, and Robert and Renaud Chasseboeuf, gave their shares of the patronage rights and tithes of the church to Silly. <br /><br />The church building stood close to the Château d'Aubry, just to the north-east. It was demolished in 1872.

Abbey
History
Founded by husband and wife Henri de Beaufou and Edicia de Rorinville, the abbey of Belle-Étoile joined the Premonstratensian Order in 1215. The abbey church was consecrated in 1238, and its cloister was rebuilt from 1496 on. <br /><br />Belle-Étoile adopted the reform of the Antique Rigueur in 1630. It was suppressed at the reformation. Today the site is in a ruinous condition.

History
Bellozanne was founded in the 1190s by Hugues, lord of Gournay, an act that was soon confirmed by Richard I of England. It became a commendatory abbey in the early 16th century. <br /><br />By the 17th century, the abbey was in a precarious economic state, and it was suppressed at the Revolution. Little of the former monastic complex survives today, and the site is now in private hands.

Blay was a priory of the Premonstratensian abbey of Ardenne from 1166. The current church building dates to the 13th century, and likely stands on the site of an earlier building.

History
Charlton was given to the French Premonstratensian abbey of Isle Dieu by Reynold de Paveley in 1187. Charlton appears to have been a small foundation and irregularly occupied. <br /><br />The community was alienated to the Hospital of St. Katherine ca. 1380. There are no extant remains.

Abbey
History
The abbey of Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Falaise has its origins in an Augustinian hospital community founded in the 1120s. The comunity became a priory around mid-century. In 1159/60, the community joined the Premonstratensian Order, and became an abbey. Its church was consecrated in 1203. <br /><br />In the 1540s, Falaise became a commendatory abbey. The community was suppressed in 1790. Its church was demolished in 1797, and much of the remains of the monastic complex were destroyed in 1944.

The church of Grainville-sur-Ry was given to the abbey of Isle-Dieu in the late 12th century by Gilbert de Vascœuil. Much of the current parish church is of relatively recent date, but parts of it date to the 11th/12th centuries.

History
The abbey of Isle-Dieu was founded in 1187 by Regnault de Pavilly, Raoul de Perruel and Gilbert de Vascœuil. Some of the first brothers at the house were originally Augustinians, while others came from the Premonstratensian abbey of Silly. The abbey church was consecrated in 1207. It became a commendatory abbey in 1560. <br /><br />Isle-Dieu was suppressed in 1790.

The parish church of Saint-Vigor de Juaye was given to the Premonstratensian abbey of Mondaye ca. 1215 by Jourdain du Hommet. The building was restored in the 18th century, but today is in ruins.

A priory dependent on the Premonstratensian abbey of Mondaye. It was built on land given by the bishop of Bayeux at the end of the 12th century. Some buildings survive today. The site is now in private hands.

History
The priory of La Cochère was established in 1195 by Lisiard, bishop of Séez. It was dependent on the Premonstratensian abbey of Silly. In 1625, the priory was given to the Jesuits of Caen. The former priory church is now the parish church.
